MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A semi-truck carrying grain rolled Tuesday morning on a ramp onto eastbound Interstate 494 in the south metro.
The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash happened at about 4:40 a.m. on the ramp from northbound Highway 169 to eastbound I-494, when the semi overturned after going off the road at a curve and hitting a wall. Firefighters extricated the truck’s driver from the vehicle, who suffered non-life threatening injuries. The state patrol says the driver wasn’t wearing a seat belt.
The ramp was closed for several hours as crews cleared the spilled grain off the roadway. The state patrol is investigating.
